Renay Wilkinson
Renay is the Owner and Director of Emerald Ability.
With 25 years of leadership experience in public education, Renay has extensive expertise in special education and behaviour support. She has led as Principal of specialised schools, supporting students from 4 - 18 years with intellectual disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, sensory needs, and complex behavioural and mental health challenges.
As a leader of a large multidisciplinary team, Renay supported schools across Lake Macquarie, ensuring students with additional learning and support needs received tailored and effective interventions from pre-school through to year 12.
Renay is a qualified counsellor, providing compassionate and evidence-based counselling for adults, children, teens, and couples. In her work with Emerald Ability, she is dedicated to empowering her clients in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Renay is passionate about working with people with disabilities and especially loves working with children. Renay is a Registered Play Therapist, a NDIS Positive Behaviour Support practitioner, and is also a qualified LEGO (R) Based Therapy facilitator.
Outside of her professional life, Renay enjoys spending quality time with her family and her two labradoodles, exploring new holiday destinations, and reading a good book.

Darlene Jones
Prior to working as an early intervention specialist, Darlene worked in public education for 40 years as a special educator. Her extensive experience includes working as a special education teacher, a school executive and a Principal of a Special School. She has dedicated her professional life to supporting children with special needs and their families.
Darlene will work with children in our school readiness program on Tuesdays.
